Urine Marking

June 6, 2019, 7:04 PM
Q: We've had our pup for a year now. Our older dog (13 year old neutered previously perfectly house trained mauzer) has started marking (peeing) everywhere in the house. Has anyone had this issue with a previously house trained, neutered dog? I'm at a loss of what to do to get him to stop. I'm planning on having the new pup neutered soon also, but I'm concerned that even that won't stop this behavior.
A: The first step would be to make sure that it is not a medical problem rather than behavioral. You should have him checked and probably get a urinalysis performed for starters.
