Picking up new puppy

September 22, 2020, 1:28 AM
Q: Our airport is about 30 minutes from our home. Dr. Pup video suggest feeding the dog after picking up from the airport, and wait 45 minutes before driving home. Then once home, am I supposed to feed the dog again? What type of food do I feed the dog at the airport (the gerber or the solid food that will be attached to the crate)? If the airport is 30 minutes away, is it necessary to feed the dog at the airport? Or can we go straight home after picking the puppy from the airport?
A: The length of the flight is just as much a part of the decision as the length of the ride home. If travel to you is over 2 hours it is a good plan to offer food. I would have some dry food, a can of food and some baby food, just to insure that he eats something.
