Location of crate

October 30, 2020, 4:27 PM
Q: I had a question regarding crate training. I watched the videos about the crate training but I wasn't sure what to do about the location of the crate. We live in a townhouse and most of the day we are on the second level. I was planning on putting him there so he would be around us during the day. But at night we go upstairs to sleep, I know it is recommended to have the crate near by where we sleep. I also know that it is recommended to not move the crate at least for the first couple of weeks. So should I leave the crate on the second floor or move it near where i sleep?? Thanks in advance for the help!
A: I would start by having near daytime activity and slightly separated from overnight.
