Q: my f1b petite goldendoodle is going 14 weeks and is currently 12lbs. from the royal canin starter, which do I switch to? royal canin small puppy or royal canin medium puppy and up to what age? also, when is the best time to neuter? it it necessary? any preferred method for quicker, better healing?
A: I would go with the small breed until about 9 months of age. If you do not plan to breed him neutering is best as it prevents both medical and behavioral problems.  Laser surgery may heal easier. And I would shoot for 7-8 months of age for the surgery.
