Flea and Tick Prevention

September 16, 2019, 11:00 AM
Q: Hello. We have a 19 week old Pom and a 12 week old Maltipoo. We went to the pet store to pickup some flea prevention meds but the store clerk told us that they are not safe for pups that young. The med indicates it’s safe from 7 weeks old. Are K9 Advantix II or Frontline plus safe for my pups? Which is better? My pups scratch periodically and I’d like to get them something soon. They are taken outside to potty. Thank you!!!
A: Both of those are good products, for me Frontline plus may have the edge on tick control. Either product is okay at their age.
