First Vet Visit

January 12, 2016, 10:39 PM
Q: My dog had her first vet visit today and she was healthy besides having blood in her stool. She got some vaccines and was prescribed amoxicillin and also Revolution for flea/heartworm. She has been acting normal and running around but her belly is pretty swollen. What does this mean? Is she allergic to anything she received today? Is her swollen belly something serious? Does she need to go to vet again?
A: My first question is were there any poop tests performed and do you know what type and the results. As for the blood in her stool you can allow 4-5 days on the amoxicillin to gauge the response.
