Not A Good Traveler
April 15, 2014, 1:02 AM- Q: My dog is only 8 weeks old however she hates to be in a carrier when traveling, she cries and bites. Help me .
- A: Unfortunately often the only way to get a puppy accustomed to traveling is to travel more. More frequent, shorter trips can be helpful. Having here spend time in the same carrier at home might work for her. You could consider a "seatbelt" harness as an alternative means of travel but if you get one to fit now now you may need a larger one later. Can you tell if it is the carrier or the motion she objects to? Does she spend time in a crate at home, if so how does she react to that?
