Puppy using pee pad

August 7, 2014, 1:58 PM
Q: Puppy is doing well going on the pad that's on the tray during the day while in the crate. So I come home and pull the tray out onto the floor while we she's out playing and she goes to it to pee but lately has been going back into the crate to look to poop. She will come out and then poop on floor next to pad. Any ideas?
A: The fact that she goes back to the pad at all is encouraging. One suggestion would be to leave the pad and tray in the crate with the door open, another good option would be to get a second pad and tray so that you have one in both areas.
