Treats

Q: Hello, we just got our Teddy Bear puppy last Friday 12/18/20. Is it a good time to introduce treats to him, if so, what do you recommend? He is 8.5 weeks old.
A: Yes it is fine to offer them, here is some info that should help: Treats    There are hundreds of treats and for the most part the differences between them is insignificant.  I like freeze dried liver or meats because they do not have added sodium, most treats are like common snack foods for people they are high in sodium.  I would recommend using freeze dried meats that are produced in the United States.  “Stewarts” is a brand that has been around a long time.  Especially if you start with young puppies many times you can use carrots or green beans as a healthy snack.
