Pug Grooming

Brushing and bathing a Pug baby is quite easy. You'll need a dog brush, some dog shampoo and a towel. Brush his coat gently from skin to end, being sure to get every part of him covered. Then, simply rinse your Pug with clean water and dry him off. Make sure you choose an appropriately formulated product for a cute dog like him.

Pug Exercise Needs

The Pug is not a lazy dog, he’s just a realist. They know they aren't the most athletic of dogs. They would rather cuddle with you on the couch than run around outside chasing a ball, but regardless they do need their exercise, meaning regular walks every once in a while. Two short walks a day should suffice in keeping your Pug perfectly happy and exercised.  

Pug Health

Like all dogs, Pugs can be exposed to some health issues, but this doesn’t mean that they aren’t a healthy, long-lived breed. Some problems that, although rare, can occur in the Pug dog include periodontal disease, ear infections, cataracts, obesity, and allergies. To ensure your dog lives a long, healthy, and happy life, regular checkups should be done at least every 3 months.  

Pug Lifespan

 Pug life expectancy is 12-15 years or 80 in human years. Although the Pug lifespan is 12-15 years, there are some Pugs like Snookie the Pug who lived to be 27 years old. 

Pug Training

Pugs may be small, but their personality is huge. These dogs are easy to train, love attention, and are very intelligent. Pug puppies are also loyal and loving. One way to start training your Pug baby is to do it right when you bring him or her home. Don't wait to help your Pug become a well-behaved member of your family. Pugs should not be left alone for long periods of time and need early socialization and puppy training classes.
