This breed originated from Germany and got its named from its work as a water retriever where the word “pudelin” refers to splashing in water. The Toy Poodle was first bred in America in the 20th century, as a city-dwelling companion dog. This breed was also a popular circus dog because of its intelligence and ability to learn tricks. It makes a wonderful family dog and loves to be the center of attention to avoid separation anxiety.
