Teddy Bear puppies for sale - On-the-spot Adoption in Puerto Rico / Shipping Across the Island
The Teddy Bear came about in the year 2000, when a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise were crossed to create a small hypoallergenic designer breed. This breed is small sized even into adulthood, having a max height of 12 inches and a max weight of 11-13 pounds.
This adorable pup has a round face with big eyes, long and droopy ears, a small and flat nose with a puffy tail. The unique colors of a Teddy Bear vary from, white, brown, black, and gray.
The Teddy Bear is a hypoallergenic breed, which means they have little shedding and minimum dander, which makes this wonderful pup perfect for homes that have some pet allergies! They’re curly coats need grooming periodically, and should be brushed out a few times a week to keep their coat soft.
Teddy Bears do not favor any certain family member, they will equally love everyone in your family. With socialization, proper training and a healthy environment, this breed will have a wonderful behavior and personality. While their personality traits are sporty, playful, intelligent and at times, stubborn, the trainer should be gentle and patient.
The Teddy Bear is less vocal than other small breed dogs. It may bark to alert you of company at your home but other than that, there won’t to be much noise. Because of the Teddy Bears genetic diversity and small stature, there are few health problems if it is well cared for. Dental care is required and a high quality dry food will help in avoiding dental issues.
For this breed a harness is recommended instead of a classic collar for walks to prevent pressure on their sensitive trachea. The Teddy Bear is also sensitive to heat and should not be kept outside for long periods of time. The life expectancy of this breed is up to 15 years with proper care to stay healthy.
